The superstar paid tribute to his Ghajini and Lagaan co-star, celebrating his remarkable talent and the legacy he leaves behind after a four-decade career.
Actor Aamir Khan paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor Pradeep Rawat, remembering him as an irreplaceable part of Ghajini. Reflecting on Rawat’s unforgettable performance as the film’s menacing antagonist, Aamir said, “There would have been no Ghajini without Pradeep Rawat.”
Pradeep Rawat played pivotal roles in two of the most significant films of Aamir Khan’s career Lagaan and Ghajini. His powerful screen presence and memorable performances left a lasting impact on Indian cinema, earning admiration from audiences and colleagues alike.
“Pradeep was an exceptionally dedicated and fearless actor. His portrayal of the villain in Ghajini was nothing short of iconic, and it remains one of the finest antagonist performances in Indian cinema. Ghajini simply wouldn’t have been the same film without him,” Aamir said. 
Pradeep Rawat also played the memorable role of Deva Singh Sodhi in Lagaan, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker a film that marked a defining moment in Aamir Khan‘s acting career. Remembering his performance, Aamir said that Pradeep made the character entirely his own.
“Pradeep brought his own unique touch to Deva Singh Sodhi. I don’t think anyone else could have played the role better. He was a truly gifted actor, and his passing is a great personal loss to me,” Aamir said.
For over four decades, the late Pradeep Rawat was a familiar face in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil cinema, earning recognition for his powerful performances in a wide range of roles. He also appeared in the iconic television series Mahabharat, where he portrayed Ashwatthama, the son of Dronacharya a role that brought him widespread popularity and made him a household name.
Although Rawat made his film debut with Meri Jung in 1985, it was his memorable performance in Mahabharat that first established him as a celebrated actor. He passed away at the age of 74 after battling blood cancer. Rawat had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bhiwandi for more than a month before his demise.
