Every successful platform begins with a dream. For Deepa Prasanna, Founder and Managing Director of Glitz N Glam (GNG), that dream was never about crowns alone it was about creating opportunities, transforming lives, and empowering the women of Kerala to believe in their own potential.
Born and brought up in the vibrant city of Mumbai, Deepa always carried Kerala close to her heart. While her roots belonged to God’s Own Country, her professional journey took her across the corporate world. With more than a decade of experience as a Global HR professional, she worked with people from diverse cultures, understanding human potential, leadership, confidence, and the power of self-belief.
Yet, deep within, there was another dream waiting to be realized.
A passionate believer in women empowerment, Deepa stepped into the world of pageantry herself. Competing as a finalist in a state-level beauty pageant and later earning a place on the prestigious Mrs. India platform gave her firsthand experience of how pageants could transform lives. They were never merely about beauty they were about confidence, resilience, leadership, and finding one’s voice. 
However, she also noticed something that needed to change.
Many talented women, especially married women, were often denied opportunities because of rigid eligibility criteria, societal expectations, or the belief that their dreams had an expiry date after marriage. Deepa refused to accept those limitations.
In 2024, she challenged conventions by launching GNG Mrs. Keralam – The Crown of Glory, an exclusive pageant dedicated to married women. It was a pioneering initiative that celebrated women beyond stereotypes and one of the very few platforms designed without restrictive criteria that often prevent deserving women from participating. The message was simple yet powerful:
Every woman deserves a stage to shine regardless of her age, background, profession, or marital status.
The overwhelming response proved that Kerala had been waiting for such a platform.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, GNG expanded in 2025 with the launch of GNG Miss & Mrs. Keralam – The Crown of Glory, opening its doors to both Miss and Mrs. contestants. More than a competition, GNG evolved into a platform for personal growth, professional grooming, and life-changing opportunities.
Today, GNG proudly creates pathways for Kerala’s women to compete on prestigious national platforms. It is the only pageant from Kerala to send participants to Times Fashion Week, giving aspiring models and beauty queens exposure on one of India’s biggest fashion stages. Beyond its flagship events, GNG also serves as a trusted talent partner for several national pageants, helping women from Kerala represent the state with confidence and pride.
Deepa’s commitment to excellence reached another milestone in 2026 when she made her debut as the State Director of Miss Grand Kerala, bringing one of the world’s most celebrated international pageant franchises to Kerala. This achievement marked yet another chapter in her mission of creating global opportunities for women from the state.
Behind every title she holds lies another identity she cherishes even more.
Deepa is a proud daughter, a loving sister, a devoted wife, and a caring mother. Balancing these responsibilities while building a brand from the ground up has never been easy. Every event has come with its own challenges, every milestone with countless hours of dedication, and every success with immense gratitude.
Yet, she embraces every moment of the journey because every crown placed on a contestant’s head represents a dream fulfilled, a family made proud, and a woman discovering her true potential.
What started as one woman’s vision has today become a movement that continues to inspire hundreds of women across Kerala to dream bigger, believe stronger, and achieve more.

The journey has been remarkable, but there is still a long way to go. With every season, every contestant, and every life transformed, GNG continues to redefine pageantry not as a celebration of beauty alone, but as a celebration of courage, purpose, and empowerment.
